Who I Work With
Every sport puts a different kind of pressure on the mind. The coaching meets you in yours.
Mental preparation for fighters handling opponent pressure, fight-week emotions, tactical uncertainty, and demanding competition.
Confidence, composure, adaptability, mental resilience, and clear decision-making under high pressure.
Handling momentum swings, mistakes, match anxiety, concentration, and confidence throughout competition.
Helping serious athletes develop stronger performance routines, confidence, mental flexibility, and focus.
The Mental Side of Performance
Physical training prepares your abilities. Mental preparation is what lets you express those abilities under pressure — on fight night, on match point, when the legs are tired and the plan has to change.
Most athletes have felt the gap: sharp in training, tight in competition. That gap is not a talent problem. It is a mental preparation problem, and it can be trained like anything else.
Structured mental coaching works on it directly — understanding what happens to you under pressure, building simple routines for those moments, and practising them until they hold when it counts.
My Coaching Philosophy
Behind the coaching is Wu Wei — the Chinese idea of effortless action. You perform best when you stop forcing it: when you enjoy what you do and genuinely want to be there, the way you eat because you’re hungry or sleep because you’re tired.
It is not passive, and it is not mystical. It means preparing with discipline — work you do because you love it, not because it is forced — then trusting what you have trained. In competition, that means learning to trust yourself — and letting your training show up on the day. Not hype, and not forcing yourself through fear. Trust in the work you’ve done, and compete free.

Boxing
A boxer who trusts his preparation listens to one clear instruction and breathes — instead of replaying the last round, or chasing a knockout that isn’t there.
MMA
A fighter who has drilled a position all camp doesn’t panic when the fight goes there. He breathes, follows the steps he has practised, and works through it.
Tennis
After a double fault, the answer isn’t to grip harder. A prepared player follows the same routine — bounce, breathe, target — and lets a serve hit thousands of times happen.
My Coaching Framework
A simple three-stage process, adapted to every athlete. No hype, no complicated system — just clear work, in the right order.
Stage One
UNDERSTAND
Identify mental barriers, competition demands, habits, emotional triggers, and individual goals.
Stage Two
PREPARE
Develop appropriate mental routines, strategies, self-awareness, and competition preparation.
Stage Three
PERFORM
Apply those skills in real competition, reflect on experiences, and continuously improve.
